Winter

I love winter. Mostly because I hate being hot. I had the thought this morning that it has been a comparatively good winter this year (even if it gets warmer from here). I can't remember when we have had this cool of weather for this long. Of course, we have had to endure more than a normal amount of rain but I am willing to pay that price.

Current thoughts:
I need to "work" on photography more.
I need to pare down my To-Do list (possibly by actually doing stuff.

The place should be obvious (we ain't got no hills like those in Texas). Time was November 2006.

Day 2 - Maybe I am destined to ramble...

I think all the time. Not nice, organized thoughts necessarily. And all my thinking mostly just leads to me hovering in a generally unhappy mood. Of course, a sibling and I have discussed it before and agree that our parents never raised us ("reared us" if you're snobbish about such things) to be. (If you believe it is incorrect for sentences to end in a preposition, see the write-up at Dictionary.com under "preposition".) [I DO believe I posted the warning that I use parentheses a lot.]

See? I started off writing about thinking then my caveats and other thoughts rushed in to jumble things up a bit.

Recent recurrent thoughts:
places like YouTube are overwhelming due to their size
I spend a lot of time, money, effort, etc. on the IDEA of being prepared
phones / pdas / cameras / etc.

I love quotes and have many favorites. One favorite is from Catch 22 by Joseph Heller. There is a pilot named McWatt who often says "Oh well, what the hell." I like it.

Today's Photo:

This photo is from Colorado this past November. I really liked the look of it. I should probably edit out the vehicle underneath but likely won't ever do so.

Gotta start somewhere...

It seems reasonable to say that to get anywhere, you have to start - somewhere. I have no reason to believe that I am disciplined enough to maintain this for long but hope springs eternal.

I hope to do a few things here, like say witty things and post a photo each day.

This photo is from Colorado (taken from a spot near Pergatory). Though it was the end of November, there was little snow but THIS is why people put up with Colorado winters (and whatever else might be unsavory about living there).
